This improvement greatly expanded the vitality of the central business district including the generation of hundreds of jobs

A federal transportation grant was obtained to develop a facility serving five community trail systems. While the site lacked infrastructure and required annexation to the City of Clovis, staff was to address these obstacles by rapidly developing an in-house design and processing entitlements prior to expiration

A federal transportation grant was obtained to develop a facility serving five community trail systems. While the site lacked infrastructure and required annexation to the City of Clovis, staff was to address these obstacles by rapidly developing an in-house design and processing entitlements prior to expiration of the grant. The result is an award-winning public space that is water efficient and treasured by the community.
A New Way of Looking at ADU's
A facet of the Central Clovis Specific Plan update was to consider how to upgrade the appearance of Old Town alleys. The resulting Cottage home program addressed this objective and won the 2018 American Planning Association award for Best Practices in Planning. To date over twenty cottage homes have been built with minor investment by the City.
